It’s a Derrick Sanskrit Triple Threat Thursday over on The Gameological Society!
First, in our staff Q&A, I casually mention how I refuse to exit the theater before the credits are over.
Then, in Game That Tune, I describe the various movements of a song with phrases like “because arps are awesome” and “who doesn’t love extra lasers?”
Finally, in Sawbuck Gamer, I discuss the angst and rebel-without-a-cause nature of the 90s MTV generation and how we’ve grown up since then.
Of course, none of those ideas I talked about are actually, you know, video games. Why is that? Am I just bad at my job? Maybe. If you wanted to, you could focus on how I’m talking about Splinter Cell, Katamari, Thunder Force and Sonic the Hedgehog, among others, but really, why classify things like that? Let’s just talk about ideas and concepts, man. Those are the real ideas, after all.
